Fun in the Leaves!!

These photos were taken about two weeks ago when all the leaves were falling (and before this cold snow came!!) We had a few days of warm weather so I decided to go out and rake the leaves. Our backyard was covered! It took me about an hour to rake up maybe 5 or 6 huge piles.

I can remember my sister and I jumping and playing in leaves as children and having such a good time! So I let the girls come out and play in the piles of leaves I just raked up. They had soooo much fun and I enjoyed watching them!

This was Karly's first experience playing out in the backyard and she had a blast!

A little wobbly on the grass!

She loved going down the slide and into the leaves!! What fun! :-)

Reagan had fun sliding into the leaves and then throwing them up into the air!

Look at the excitement on Karly's face.

♥Rosco♥
You could never tell from this picture that he can be a big meany! If you look closely at his left eye you can see that it is all red. I took him to the vet and found out that he had pink eye! They gave me medicine to put in it twice a day. It has gotten somewhat better but is still pink. Boy did I have a hard time with him at the vet. He is so protective of me and does not like strangers! I had to put a heavy duty muzzle on him but that hardly contained him. He tried his hardest to pull the muzzle off with his nails so he could get at the vet technician. She was very good with him though and just held on to him, petted him and talked to him in a calming voice. Thankfully we didn't have to be in there long. Just enough for the vet to come in, administer the shots and say that he had pink eye. Next time, Derek will be taking him to the vet!! He is too big and strong for me to control!
We got Rosco when Derek and I lived in Alaska. He was just 6 weeks old and was our baby for the first 4 years of our marriage...until our other babies came along! I was so worried that he wouldn't be good with our girls but thankfully he loves them and is very protective of them too.

Look What Karly Is Up To Now!!!

Last night after Derek got home from work, I left the house for about 1/2 hour to vote. When I got back, Derek told me that I had to look at the pictures he had taken on the camera. He said that they were upstairs playing and that he ran downstairs for all of 15 seconds to get something. When he went back up, this is what he found!!

I just hope she didn't stick that thing in her mouth!!!

Karly's 1st Birthday Party

Reagan helping Mommy ice the cake

The finished product. I was very proud of my work!! ;-)

The Birthday Princess!!!

Goin for those presents!

Trying her hardest to pick it up.

I saw this babydoll at Hartville Kitchen Collectibles. There was a brunette one and a blonde one. The dolls name is Reagan and I think they look so much like my girls! So Grandma Hawk bought Karly the brunette one for her birthday. Boy does she love it.....and so does her big sister. I'll have to get Reagan the blonde one for Christmas.

Sophia (my best friend Becky's daughter) and Reagan having fun with Karly's music set.

She didn't really care for the singing part!

But she looooved the cake part!!

Yummy!!

Looks like Grady wants some!

We were laughing so hard because Karly kept leaning down and licking the cupcake. Watch her tongue in the first video!

Trick-or-Treat

We went to Ohio last Friday and had lots of fun trick-or-treating with cousins in Mimi and Papa's neighborhood.

Pink Poodle

Little Bumblebee

Karly and cousin Grady (little zebra)

Reagan and cousin Grant (a frog)

Nolan, Spencer, Reagan, Grant, Karly and Grady all ready to go trick-or-treating!!

Karly couldn't really get the hang of walking up to the door and grabbing a piece of candy. She mostly stayed in the wagon or stroller and watched all the big kids trick-or-treat.

Reagan had so much fun! She had a hard time keeping up with the older boys but tried her best!

After we put the girls to bed, Derek took me out to my favorite restaurant Hibachi Japan for my birthday.....which is today!! Last night the girls were taking a bath and I said "Karly, you are one and Reagan, you are two!" Reagan said "And you're gonna be number six Mommy?" Try 27!
